Savvie and Lacey were originally characters in a BDSM/fetish story I wrote. When
I wanted to illustrate a gag that was floating around the
Abbot's
Place chat room, I conscripted the girls for what was supposed to be
a one-off comic strip ("Character Flaw"). (Little did I know they would take on lives of their
own, initially at the insistance of many of the Abbot's Place regulars, later
thanks to total strangers who somehow found the girls and liked what they saw.)
A lot of folks have asked how Savvie and Lacey met, or how their relationship
got to the point where the Webcomic started. That's exactly the story from
which I lifted them, but it makes more sense to tell the tale as a "digital comic
book." That's what this might turn out to be. I have no idea how often
I can publish (I'm hoping for a page a month, but the regular strip will
always take priority) or if I'll even be able to finish it. But we'll
never know if I don't try, so...

Note: Compared to the regular strip, Beginnings
will have less humor (definitely), more drama (I hope!), and bigger images
presented in pages. Which means each page will take a lot longer to
load than the regular strips. If you're on a slow connection, you may not want
to proceed any farther.
